Zhang Jun was born in Hebei Province in 1942, is now a member of the Artist Association of China, Vice-Chairman of the Chinese Painting Seminar of Hebei Province.
"Ancient Road in Taihang Mountain" won the bronze medal at the 1st National Landscape Paintings Exhibition in Anhui in 1993. "Bulwark in Taihang Mountain" won an excellent award at the 8th Chinese National Art Exhibition in 1994.
Zhang's paintings are rendered in a palette of controlled exuberance. Soothingly contemplative, their bucolic lyricism stands in contrast to the urban bustle.
